Call for Entries for the Young Talents Competition

Fuels of the Future 2025

Present your research findings, projects, and studies at the “Fuels of the Future” international conference on renewable mobility on 20th and 21st January 2025.

Kaatje Bout and Eliane van Boxtel from Delft University of Technology, the winners of the 2023 Young Talent Award, commented on their participation at the congress last year: "It was a valuable experience to share our observations and views on the importance of hydrogen in the energy transition with the congress attendees.’ They added that ‘talking to so many people from the energy sector with different backgrounds and nationalities also gave us new insights!"

Are you curious? We’d love to have you apply now!

The competition is open to young scientists researching or working on topics related to renewable mobility. They are invited to share their work with experts from all over the world at the top event for the German, European, and international biofuels industry, which also serves as a forum for discussions on developing renewable mobility.

Present your research project in 160 seconds using the dynamic Pecha Kucha method. You can show eight slides, each displayed for 20 seconds. Would you rather present your results in German? Please go ahead! You will have access to an international audience of experts from the world of renewable mobility who will see your presentation during the plenary session.

Once all the presentations have been shown, the audience will pick a winner from the young researchers who have introduced their work. The live vote will use Slido for voting. The winner will be invited to present their research in a 20-minute talk followed by a Q&A session in one of the main forums at the „Fuels of the Future 2026“ conference. Travel and accommodation for the 2026 conference will be covered for the award-winning young talent.

What's the benefit? Who can participate?

We offer you the opportunity to engage with experts and discuss technical matters. These include representatives from the raw material collection and processing, the biofuel, mineral oil and motor vehicle industries, the chemical industry, the transport and logistics sector, certification systems, politics, science and research.

Please send your presentation, including the title, a portrait photo and a short CV, as well as your student ID to Susanne Büchner (e-mail: ohrpuare@ovbraretvr.qr). The deadline for submission is 11 December 2024. All persons with a valid student ID from EU member states are eligible to participate. Up to 5 presentations will be selected from all submitted papers. Please note that the selection will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
