Finally live again - Fuels of the Future 2023 in Berlin

On 23 January 2022, the 20th International Renewable Mobility Congress "Fuels of the Future" will open its doors in the CityCube Berlin under the motto: Fuels of the Future 2023 - Navigator for Sustainable Mobility. Five exciting presentations of 20 minutes of knowledge input each await you in the opening session "Energy transition in transport in the area of tension between security of supply and climate protection".
Artur Auernhammer, BBE Chairman of the Board, will open the two-day congress. Oliver Luksic, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport, follows with the first lecture and is dedicated to the framework conditions for innovation and sustainability around renewable fuels and alternative drives. Norbert Lins, Member of the European Parliament, will deal with the question "Breakthrough of EU legislation for the energy transition in transport? Recommendations of the expert advisory board "Climate Protection in Mobility for the Expansion of Renewable Fuels" will be given by Prof. Dr. Meike Jipp of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). John Cooper from FuelsEurope will go into more detail on the requirements for energy supply security in the transport sector.

Consequences of the war in Ukraine: Is security of supply superseding climate protection?
The Russian war of aggression on Ukraine has drastically highlighted how resolutely and swiftly dependencies on fossil energies must be reduced in Germany, in Europe and worldwide. In this regard, a panel discussion awaits you on Monday, 23 January 2023, after the opening session of the 20th International Renewable Mobility Congress "Fuels of the Future", in which the panellists will address the question "Consequences of the war in Ukraine: Does security of supply supersede climate protection?". You can look forward to the following participants: Dr. Anita Breyer, Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection; Dr. Monika Griefahn from eFuel Alliance e.V.; Prof. Dr. Christian Küchen from Wirtschaftsverband Fuels und Energie e.V. (en2x); Matti Lehmus from NESTE; Norbert Lins, Member of the European Parliament as well as Claus Sauter from VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG.
In the panel, six experts from the energy sector and politics will take a stand on the topic of effective climate protection and dependence on fossil energy imports. Address your questions directly to the panellists!
